Rainbow River
Florida is not only noted for its beaches, but it has some of the most beautiful rivers running through it. The Rainbow River is just that, approximately a 6 mile long river, which has beautiful clear water where fresh water fishing is an enjoyment.
You can definitely just relax in this area. There are beautiful peaceful raft rides, glass-bottom boats, gift shops and an aviary. Rainbow River was recognized as a Natural Landmark in 1986. A beautiful state park rests on the river and has forests with beautiful trees and foliage. Many people come to the campgrounds to enjoy the historical natural park.
