Palm Beach
Palm Beach is located on a barrier Island between West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. The population is roughly 10,000 but this increase to 25-30000 during the winter months. Henry Flagler founded the town in the early 1900’s when he attached the Island to the Florida East Coast Railway. The success of the town was mainly as a result of his two resorts The Royal Poinciana Hotel and the Breakers Resort Hotel.

The town of Palm Beach is the most eastern point of Florida the climate is subtropical with average temperatures in the mid 60’s in the winter months. In the summer months the temperature averages in the mid to high 80’s.
Palm Beach is an excellent vacation spot, with its spectacular sunrises, and excellent beaches it’s become a huge tourist spot. If you are traveling here you will certainly want to check out Worth Avenue. This area is located at the southern tip of the island and is lined with Palm trees. Here you will find high class art galleries, excellent fine dining and plenty of shops. Some notable restaurants are Bice, Taboo, and Trevini’s.
If you are looking to shop there are a number of souvenir type shops as well numerous high end stores like Saks, Chanel, Acento etc. You can also take historic walking tours of the area and learn about the magical history of Palm Beach. If you have golf on your mind there are two fabulous courses that must be played when visiting here. The Breakers course is absolutely breath taking; the Rees Jones Ocean Course is a par 70 6167yds, and has been called Florida’s first golf course. PGA National Resort is another must see/play for avid golfers. This area boasts 5 courses designed by the likes of Palmer, Litten and Nicklaus. Celebrity watch: Notable celebrities that reside here in the Palm Beach area include James Patterson, Donald and Ivana Trump, Rod Stewart, and John Lennon also once lived here in Harold Vanderbilt’s former home El Solano.
