Hudson
This City of Hudson is located in Pasco County Florida. The general population is around 15000. This increases to about double during the winter months as a result of local tourism. Hudson is a subtropical climate in is in the central west coast of Florida.
Hudson was founded in the late 1800’s by Isaac Hudson. The town grew steadily in the early 1900’s when developers began clearing the land and shipping the lumber to Tampa. In the 50’s realtors paid the Army Corps of Engineers to dig miles of canals in the area so that they could build up the area.

For first time visitors to Hudson it takes awhile to get use to the layout, the streets separate neighbors and the canal waterways separate different neighborhoods.
Every street in the community has a canal associated with it, water travel here is more popular than auto. For the most part Hudson is a low key small town, mostly and unknown to tourists as they tend to flock to the larger cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, or Clearwater.
Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park (Hudson Beach), built in the 1960s, is the main beach for the Hudson community. Veterans Memorial Park and Arthur F. Engle Memorial Park are the main indoor and outdoor sports and recreation centers, with indoor gymnasiums and outdoor fields. There are also three semiprivate golf courses: Links Golf Club, Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club, and Seapines Golf Club.
If your not planning on laying around the beaches. Perhaps you would like to rent a boat or a kayak. If you would like a sightseeing tour all of these can be found down on Clark St. The Hudson Marina and Skeleton Key Marina can accommodate your requirements.
Dining and Nightlife can be had at the beach as well Sam’s Bar and Restaurant, and Inn-On-the-Gulf are both popular spots. Fine Dining can be found at Isle de France.
