Estero
Estero is a town of the beautiful state Florida, the region with the beautiful beaches and coastline, and the tropical but cozy atmosphere. Estero is a small town, but it develops and grows fast. It is one of the fastest growing areas in the whole United States. No wonder that this city attracts so many people: it has a unique charm. It's located in southwest Florida, between fort Myers and Bonita Springs. Estero is known for it's great range of sport activities. This town has many famous golf courses, many golfers come here just to see them and play on them. Another relevant information for the sports fans is that Estero hosts the games for the Florida Everblades ECHL hockey team and also for the Florida Firecats arena football team.
Since the town is relatively small, it has many green areas that surround it, green forests and hills, and the town itself has many parks with rich wildlife. The town was founded on the River Estero, which contributes to the rich wildlife and natural surroundings. The River Estero is great for boating, kayaking, and even fishing. Along the bank of the river there are many things to see, the wildlife in this area is very unique and special. Canoeing or kayaking can be also a great adventure, not just sports.
One of the parks that is worth visiting is The Estero Community Park, a place designed mostly for families, with areas for picnic and many possibilities for outdoor activities. The Estero Bay Preserve State Park is an aquatic preserve, which was made for the unique wildlife of Estero and the protection of the waters and region .Mound Key Archeological State Park is an ancient Indian site, where the only possibility to go is by boat, what makes it even more adventurous.
Some other local attractions are the Koreshan State Historic Site is great for those who like history and are interested in it. In this place was the location of the utopian settlement of the Koreshan Unity movement .the Corkscrew Village Shopping Plaza is a new favorite of the tourist and residents, and especially for those who like shopping.
