Cape Coral is the largest city in Southwest Florida. It is one special place because it is the city with the most navigable waterways and canals on earth. The canals cross the city, so it's not only close to the water, but it's almost built on water. The city was actually born because of the canals: the canals are older than the city itself.

Cape Coral is a center for tourists, and to entertain the many visitors, many events and attractions are organized every year to entice them. Some events are held annually and they represent an attraction for visitors and residents as well, for example The Cape Coral Festival of the Arts is organized every year and it's very popular, and not only among artists.

The city is basically filled with water. It's a real paradise for those who like to sail or to go fishing. Fishing is a main leisure activity in the region. There are also enough water-parks for everyone. Sun Splash Family Waterpark is one of the biggest and nicest water-parks in the area. It has many pools, slides, and tube rides. Cruises and boat rides are organized daily, and one of the most popular cruises are the Everglades Excursions, a dream come true for nature and animal fans. Another local attraction is the Mike Greenwell's Family fun Park, which offers a great time not only for kids, but adults as well. It has a huge arcade, a fish feeding dock, mini golf course, children's playground, and much more.

However the water is not the only thing that makes this city as unique as it is. Cape Coral has extended green areas, even in the city, which make it even lovelier. Some of the parks inside the city are the Eco Park, the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, the Saratoga Lake Park or the Giuffrida Park. Each of the parks offer possibilities for various activities.
